Community service opportunities and NSBE's Pre-College Initiative — connecting Pitt NSBE with the next generation of engineers and giving back locally.

Our two Pre-College Initiative (PCI) chairs aim to encourage young K-12 students to pursue and excel in engineering-related futures. They do this by creating opportunities to engage with local NSBE Jr. chapters in the Pittsburgh area through STEM activities and teachings, as well as hosting events within our chapter to encourage outreach.
Our two Technical Outreach and Community Help (TORCH) Chairs help to facilitate volunteer opportunities within the local Pittsburgh area. In particular, our TORCH Chairs plan our chapter's involvement for both the Pitt Make a Difference Day and MLK Day of Service volunteer events. Additionally, they help coordinate our parternship with the Fund for Advancement of Minorities Through Education (FAME) Organization by providing our members opportunities to tutor members of the local community.
More information on this semester's PCI initiative will be shared as plans are finalized.
Stay tuned for upcoming volunteering opportunities this semester.
