The Pitt chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers supports Black engineering students at the University of Pittsburgh through community, mentorship, professional development, and academic excellence.
The objective of the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers shall be to stimulate and develop student interest in engineering; to strive to increase the number of students studying engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to endeavor in the advancement of the Black engineer in professional industry. Additionally, this organization shall provide service opportunities for its members and engage in providing STEM opportunities for youth and adults in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
